Dr. Vardhana is a medical oncologist and laboratory-based physician scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His laboratory studies mechanisms of immune dysfunction in cancer and chronic infections, with a particular emphasis on how nutrient availability and uptake regulates anti-tumor immunity. He has received several prestigious awards, including most recently a Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Prize and Young Physician-Scientist Award from the American Society of Clinical Investigation and was named one of Cell’s 50 Scientists that Inspire.
