Our Impact
Since awarding our first grant in 1994, the V Foundation has awarded over $353 million, which has been used to fund cancer research grants nationwide.
Our Scientific Advisory Committee selects grant recipients through a highly competitive process. We invest in promising people and projects.
Event proceeds from the V Foundation Wine Celebration benefit cancer research funded by the V Foundation. We are committed to ensuring that a significant portion of the funds raised benefit cancer research and awareness locally in the Bay Area and the Napa Valley. Grants from past events have benefited research at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, St. Helena Hospital, Ole Health, UCSF Medical Center, UC Davis School of Medicine and Stanford Medical Center.
The V Foundation is fortunate to have a Scientific Advisory Committee, a group whose members are leaders in the cancer research field, who are responsible for evaluating and selecting research projects to receive funding. the V Foundation supports research on all types of cancer.
Each year, the V Foundation Wine Celebration hosts a Cancer Research Symposium, where world-class researchers present cutting-edge information to the general public. Many of the researchers who have been awarded grants in years past return to share their valuable findings. A Q & A session allows attendees to have their questions answered by the panelists.
